TAAS Company can provide innovative and practical solutions to current obstacles faced by manufacturures, operators, DoD, flight crews and R&D activities. Introducing modular features into aircraft platforms creates a new paradigm in terms of economics, performance, operations, maintainability, upgrades, training and flight safety. These techniques are simple, reduce weight requirements and are easy to integrate; many of the features can be achieved by modifying an existing platform, although the ideal situation is to begin at the initial design stage.
Modular Features:
* Modular Fabrication
* Interchangeable Modular Sections
* Isolation of Vibrations and Structural Loads
* Modular Crew Recovery
* Mission Specific Modular Sections and Upgrades
* Modular Mainteance and Repairs
* Simulation and Training in Modular Cockpit
The Aircraft Escape Cabin (AEC) is a modular cockpit designed to separate in an emergency with all crew and passengers, stabilize flight, glide and recover by parachute on land or water. The concept is applicable for subsonic, supersonic and space planes. In this photo it is integrated into a rocket powered flight test vehicle.
The configuration of a helicopter, operational capabilities and inherant problems with vibrations makes it an ideal canidate for the modular design. One basic propulsion section (parent vehicle) can mate with mission specific, manned, un-manned or utility configured modular cabins. In addition to all the other modular features, the design enables a reduction in fleet requiremnets which is critical for the space limitations on ship based operations.
